Sweet P's Blog

Sweet P was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she grew up with a passion for surfing and vintage clothing. Her flare for fashion was apparent at a young age, when her favorite show was Sonny and Cher and she would sketch them new outfits during commercial breaks. Sweet P got her nickname while riding in an all girl motorcycle club called the Hells Belles.

While attending Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Sweet P started working in the underground club scene and would make her own outfits. With the growing interest in her designs, she decided to put together a small collection of club wear and sold it to a few stores in L.A. Her line “Sweet P” morphed from club wear to retro. Afte r five years she clo ed her business and went to work. She worked at Bebe for four years, befo re being appr oached to do a slee pwear line and deci ded to take the oppo rtunity. After two years, she real ized Sleepwear is n ot what she want ed to do.


Sweet P appe ared on Project Runw ay (season 5) to jum start her care er. Having made it o the Top 5 Sweet P w s able showcase much of her work. She was also given a sho at Bryant Park for Fall Fashion week 2008.

Currently Sweet P is designing for many projects, maki ng personal appe arances and writ ing for Celebuzz.
